Annual Events
The Flagg Township Museum hosts a variety of special events each year, below are descriptions and photos of a few of the events that have been held at the museum.
Chautauqua
The museum holds a Chautauqua program in March with a different topic each of the four nights.
While this event was cancelled in 2020, programs in 2021 included the renovation from Lincoln School to Lincoln Arts Center, the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier turning 100 this November, and the Rochelle Woman's Club - all "gone but not forgotten".
In 2022 is all about home - "There's no place like home" - and will include Home vs Visitors, Counting Homes - Rochelle and the Census, A Countryman Home, and Safe at Home.
Watch our website and Facebook page for details about our next series.

Railroad Days
Railroad Days in Rochelle will be held on May 21 & 22, 2022.
Many people come to the Ken Wise Railroad Park in Rochelle to view over 80 trains each day at the only railroad diamond in the State of Illinois.
In conjunction with their events, the museum invites visitors to view our railroad exhibits that include a railroad switch, blueprints of Whitcomb Locomotives and a bench from the Rochelle Chicago and Northwestern passenger station.
